ABOUT ASTRATINVEST
Astratinvest is a SEBI-registered Category III Alternative Investment Fund running a quant long-short strategy, with ₹100 Cr+ AUM and growing, based in Mumbai. We're a lean team, which means you'll see how every part of a fund works rather than being boxed into one function. We're looking for someone to join the Founder's Office and grow with us.
THE ROLE
This is a broad, hands-on role for someone early in their career who wants to learn how a fund actually runs
and help it grow. You'll work closely with the founders and the wider team, starting with support and gradually
taking on more as you find your feet. The work is varied: some days you're helping with fund operations and
reporting, other days you're working on growth and business development, preparing investor materials, or
pitching in on a project the team is running.
It's not a conventional, narrowly-defined corporate role. You'll get exposure across the business and plenty of
room to grow, with the founders and senior team there to guide you along the way.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
In your first year, you'll build a genuinely well-rounded picture of how an AIF operates and scales — the kind of
breadth that's hard to get in a more siloed first job:
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
You'll start by supporting the team and take on more ownership over time:
Growth & Business Development
Investor Relations
Fund Operations & Compliance
Growth and business development — how a fund raises capital, builds relationships, and grows its AUM
Fund operations — how NAV is computed, how trades are reconciled, and the mechanics behind a growing
AUM book
Compliance and regulation — how a SEBI-registered fund stays compliant, and what statutory audits involve
Investor relations — how investors are onboarded, served, and kept informed
Researching and identifying prospective investors, family offices, and channel partners
Supporting outreach, follow-ups, and moving conversations forward alongside the founders
Helping shape how the fund positions and pitches itself to the market
Helping prepare investor materials like monthly factsheets and updates
Supporting investor onboarding, queries, and due-diligence requests
Helping with monthly NAV computation, reconciliation, and reporting
Assisting with compliance tasks — audit preparation, filings, and keeping records in order
Other
The exact mix will flex based on your strengths and what you enjoy — if growth and BD is where you shine, there's
plenty of room to lean into it.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Pedigree matters less to us than hunger, attitude, and willingness to learn.
WHY THIS ROLE
Pitching in on internal projects and tools that keep the fund running
Supporting the hiring process — coordination, scheduling, and screening
Final-year / 2026 batch students; MBA (Finance preferred), open to strong candidates from other streams
Strong communication skills and a natural ability to build relationships
Comfort with Excel and a willingness to learn; basic scripting or a technical bent is a plus, not a requirement
Genuine interest in markets, finance, and growth
Someone who's eager to learn, takes initiative, and is happy rolling up their sleeves on whatever the week brings
Direct access to the founders and a real understanding of how a fund works and grows, from the inside
Broad exposure across growth, operations, compliance, and investor relations, rare in a first job
A real chance to own the growth side as you prove yourself
A strong launchpad for a career in fund management, fintech, or further study like an MBA abroad
